Lucien Gibert, a French artist, studied cabinetmaking under his father before pursuing formal art education at the École des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Etienne and later in Paris under Jean Boucher. Inspired by artists like Despiau and Maillol, Gibert transitioned to a more non-academic style of art. He exhibited at prestigious salons in Paris and took on commissions for public monuments. Additionally, he created numerous medals for the Monnaie de Paris and eventually became its director.
