Marceli Harasimowicz was born in 1859 in Warsaw. He received his painting education at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts in the years 1882-85. He was the son of an amateur painter Józef Harasimowicz and the brother of a sculptor Piotr Witalis Harasimowicz.
