Mario Gómez Clausell is a Mexican landscape painter, grandson of the painter Joaquín Clausell and Javier Gómez. He studied Plastic Arts at the Academy of San Carlos and Architecture at the National Institute of Fine Arts. His artistic style is mainly influenced by the work of Aguste Renoir, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro, as well as the works of the muralists Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Throughout his career, he has participated in more than 50 solo and group exhibitions in different museums, galleries and cultural centers in Mexico and abroad.
