Mario Orozco Rivera was a Mexican painter and muralist, born in 1930. Rivera was the father of the artist Gabriel Orozco and contemporary of David Alfaro Siqueiros. He was known for being one of the pioneers in the implementation of new techniques as a means of artistic painting in its search for more durable materials. Pyroxyline is a mixture of nitric esters of cellulose, and a second resin, generally alkyd, was one of the first polymers to be developed and its application form is like automotive paint. Mario Orozco Rivera passed away in 1998.
