Martin Whatson was born in 1984 in Norway. While studying Art and Graphic design at Westerdals School of Communication (Oslo), he discovered stencils and became passionate about the urban art scene. Martin Whatson makes street art that combines abstract movement with figurative stencilled compositions. His work is characterized by calligraphic scribbles in grayscale voids. Martin Whatson was born in 1984 in Norway. While studying Art and Graphic design at Westerdals School of Communication (Oslo), he discovered stencils and became passionate about the urban art scene. After following graffiti and its development, he started his own stencil production in the winter of 2004. Martin Whatson has had solo exhibitions featured in cities from Tokyo to LA, London to New York.
