Han Meilin, born in 1936 in Jinan, China, is a contemporary Chinese artist known for his paintings and sculptures of animals. He created the Fuwa mascots for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Despite facing challenges during the Cultural Revolution, Han continued to produce beautiful objects inspired by animals. He studied at the Central Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing and currently lives and works in Beijing, China.
