His work is inspired by the serenity, refinement, and rigor of Japanese culture and claims his oriental roots in the fusion with nature, the technical refinement of matter, and the agile stroke. He began a series of photographic series focusing on both landscape and light when he discovered the Genoveses beach in Almería in 1978.
