For Mohamed Nabili, the desert “is first and foremost a philosophy, precisely philosophy the essential… In fact, my work is just a window onto the desert. » Born in Morocco, Mohamed Nabili trained at the School of Applied Arts in Casablanca before joining the School of Art and Architecture in Marseille then the School of Fine Arts in Aix-en-Provence as as a teacher until 1980. The artist masters different techniques in ceramics, installation, graphics, painting, and seeks to develop a pictorial language reflecting his cultural roots. In his works, he favors sand, multiple textures and different origins.
