In 1933, Lapshine received the first prize at an international competition for his drawings for The Travels of Marco Polo. Unfortunately, most of his heritage was lost during the siege. His works can be found in prestigious institutions such as the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum, and many regional museums.
