A native of Pomerania, Otto Thiele (1870-1955) began training with the German Post at the age of 18, while he privately dealt with the visual arts. When he had to move to Berlin for business purposes, he began studying at the Royal Academy of the Arts and temporarily studied under Lovis Corinth. Thiele graduated in 1906. Since that year, he exclusively devoted himself to painting. Many of his works were lost during the war. After the war, the artist moved to Egestorf, where he continued to live... Read full biography
