Paul Joostens, born in Antwerp, was an artist from Belgium who transitioned from Cubist painting to Dadaist collages and abstract objects in the early 20th century. He later developed his unique style known as "Joosten Gothic" around 1925. Despite distancing himself from the avant-garde, he returned to his Dadaist assemblages in the 1950s. In 1976, a retrospective exhibition was held in his honor at the International Cultural Center in Antwerp.
