Paul Friedrich Meyerheim was born in 1842, in Germany. Paul Friedrich Meyerheim came from a well-known family of Berlin artists. His special talent was in animal artwork, an interest he shared with his friend Adolf Menzel. Starting in 1883, he taught at the Berlin Academy of Art, Tiermalklasse, where the animal sculptor August Gaul became his pupil. His main works included murals in the lobby of the antelope house in Berlin's Zoological Garden. Meyerheim passed away in 1915.... Read full biography
