Rainer Dorwarth, who now lives in Freiburg, was born in 1924 in Welver / Westphalia and, after war service and imprisonment, studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Freiburg with Professor A. Strübe. He created oil paintings, watercolors and drawings, woodcuts, and especially pointed out numerous commissions for stained glass windows and wall paintings, mosaics and graffiti.
