As random acts of violence or disruption occur in any 'natural' settings, and energy and opportunities are suddenly re-distributed, I deliberately introduce disruptions into the creation of my artworks by the use of particular painting processes, and then resolve these so that I end up with an interesting "picture", a fiction (like a novel, a joke or a movie with its own internal logic).
