During the late 1950s, Kingston had several solo exhibitions at the Ritchie Hendriks Gallery (Dublin) and the Leicester Galleries (London). In the early 1970s, after representing Ireland in several exhibitions abroad, he set up his own art gallery at Wellington Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin.
