This job was the beginning of his professional art career in the commercial field. After leaving the Los Angeles Examiner, Robert entered the Aerospace Industry through work in the art department at Aerojet-General Corporation. He attended the Art Center in Los Angeles from 1963 to 1966 where he developed his first work in the fine arts field. After moving to New Mexico in 1988, Robert taught oil painting classes at San Juan College in Farmington.
