After his academic years, he continued the artistic education in Paris at, among others, Académie Julian in Paris. Robert Thegerström graduated from the Konstakademie in Stockholm in the years 1876-80, while among others Ernst Josephson, Carl Larsson , Ander Zorn, Karl Nordström and Richard Berg. After his academic years, he continued the artistic education in Paris at, among others, Académie Julian in Paris. In particular, he was introduced to the current open-air measurement with a more free and broader brush operation. Thegerström was very social and had a great deal of Swedish colleagues during the years in France. The summers were spent with the Swedish colony in Gréz, a few miles south of Paris. Lived from 1857 to 1919.
