Rolf Krause was a German painter and graphic artist. He was born in 1908 in Dresden. Krause studied from 1926 to 1933 at the academy in Dresden with Ludwig von Hofmann. He was a master student of Max Feldbauer. From 1933 to 1940 he did freelance work as portrait, still life and landscape painter in Dresden.
