Thanos Tsingos was born in Elefsina in 1914. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Athens and since 1946 has worked with other major architects in the creation of city-prototype Brasilia in Brazil. Thanos Tsigos was restless and was not confined only to the architecture. In 1947, he visited Paris and was taken with the scenery. Thanos Tsigos was restless and was not confined only to the architecture. In 1947, he visited Paris and was taken with the scenery. From 1949 he started to paint, giving a purely personal style characterized by the combination of expressionistic and calligraphic elements. Tsingos died in 1965.
