In 1912, he worked at Vladimir Tatlin’s studio ‘The Tower’ along with Ljubov 'Popova, Nadežda Udal'cova et al. From 1919 to 1936 he lived in Paris; then he settled down in Moscow. Bart created still life, landscapes and portraits in oil. Since the mid-1930's, he also made graphics and book illustrations. Starting in 1951, he worked mainly as a commercial artist. The artist passed away in 1954.
