Vincent Joseph Colletta was born in Casteldaccia, Sicily on October 15, 1923. "Vince" Colletta immigrated to the U.S. with his family at an early age. He studied at the New Jersey Academy of Fine Arts. In 1952 enter the world of cartoonist for Better Comics and then began a long collaboration with Marvel Comics.
