Vladimir Kopteff was a Finnish painter and graphic artist who was educated at the School of the Finnish Academy of Art and at the Albert Pels School of Art in New York. He became known for his strictly geometric, systematic and constructivist paintings, sculptures and graphic works, for which he was influenced by, among others, the Dutchman Piet Mondrian. Vladimir Kopteff was a Finnish painter and graphic artist who was educated at the School of the Finnish Academy of Art and at the Albert Pels School of Art in New York. He became known for his strictly geometric, systematic and constructivist paintings, sculptures and graphic works, for which he was influenced by, among others, the Dutchman Piet Mondrian. Kopteff belonged to the Dimensio Group since 1975 and served as its chairman 1981–1983. He was also a member of the Internationaler Arbeitskreis für Konstruktive Gestaltung.
