Lazzaro had solo exhibitions in many Italian and foreign cities and was awarded at the Venice International Art Biennale in 1942. He was also twice awarded by the Accademia d'Italia and was the creator of the "Settimana d'Arte della Versilia". Lazzaro was invited to numerous Rome Quadrennials, and was the founder of the "Poets-Painters Movement". In 1982, he was appointed "Officer of Merit of the Republic" for his artistic merits by President Pertini....
