Most of his paintings are of women, however he has also painted figures and flowers, and incorporated traditional Chinese artifacts such as fans and musical instruments, especially the pipa (Chinese lute) into his works. He has achieved recognition in China and at the international level for his craftsmanship in blending the culture of the Orient with western compositional techniques.
