In 1902 Dora was a student of John Heise and from 1903-04 was an Atelier pupil of Lovis Corinth. In the years 1902-1913, Dora Stetter undertook thirteen study trips to Bavaria, Denmark, Belgium and Pomerania. She ran a private pupil's studio as a drawing teacher from 1902-17 in Berlin.
