    Abraham Neumann (1873 Sierpc - 1942 Krakow ) was a painter and graphic artist. In 1891 he came to Warsaw and studied at the Drawing School, making a living by painting portraits. In 1897, he began studies at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow under Jacek Malczewski. In 1900 he went to Paris and studied at the Académie Julian. He visited the Netherlands, Belgium, England and Germany.

    After returning to Krakow in 1901-1902, he continued his studies at the Academy under Leon Wyczólkowski and Jan Stanislawski. After graduation, he moved to Krakow, from where he went to the open air in the Tatra Mountains. Later, he also lived in Zakopane, Nowy Targ and Warsaw. During World War I, he was in Vienna.
