    Painter and illustrator Adolf Glattacker was born in 1878 in Wehr. Glattacker studied at the art academies in Karlsruhe and Paris, and worked as an illustrator. He illustrated stories of the poet Paul Körber (1876 - 1941). Glattacker also designed the Emblem of fools guild Loerrach. He was appointed as an honorary citizen of his native city of Wehr. In 1962 was awarded the Federal Cross of merit 1st class. Adolf Glattacker passed away in Tullingen, Germany in 1971.source: Vollmer and Wikipedia.
