Painter and illustrator Adolf Glattacker was born in 1878 in Wehr. Glattacker studied at the art academies in Karlsruhe and Paris, and worked as an illustrator. He illustrated stories of the poet Paul Körber (1876 - 1941). Glattacker also designed the Emblem of fools guild Loerrach. He was appointed as an honorary citizen of his native city of Wehr.
