    The following information is from Amy Whorf McGuiggan, who wrote: "I am curating the exhibition that will be held at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) in April, 2013, and have done extensive research for the exhibition."

    Albert Edel was born in Soultz-les-Bains France in 1894. He died in Provincetown in 1970. He is buried in Franklin, Massachusetts. Though he painted in both oil and watercolor, he is best known for his intimate etchings of Provincetown of which he did approximately 60 different scenes over the years.

    He also ran a small art shop in Provincetown. He married Stella Johnson who had studied with Charles Hawthorne in Provincetown and was a very good painter in her own right. She studied with...
