Albert Edel was born in Soultz-les-Bains France in 1894. He died in Provincetown in 1970. He is buried in Franklin, Massachusetts. He also ran a small art shop in Provincetown. He married Stella Johnson who had studied with Charles Hawthorne in Provincetown and was a very good painter in her own right.
