    Albert Gos (born April 6, 1852 in Geneva, † June 23, 1942 ibid) was a Swiss musician, composer, landscape painter and author. As an admirer of the high mountains, he became to some extent the "court painter" of the Matterhorn.

    In Geneva, a street is named after Albert Gos, the "Rue Albert-Gos".

    Albert Gos studied violin at the conservatory in Geneva, where he was a pupil of Amélie Müntz Berger, the wife of Alexandre Calame. As a professional violinist he received the prize of the conservatory in 1870.
