    Albert Papikyan, a People’s Artist of Russia, was a talented artist known for his portraits, landscapes, and thematic pictures. He won the all-union contest as a schoolchild, which granted him the opportunity to study at the Painting School for gifted children in Moscow. Papikyan later studied at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture under the guidance of B. Ioganson. His diploma work was titled "The Stakhanovist Workers at the Sevan Water Power Plant Construction." In 1949, he joined the Artists’ Union and began participating in exhibitions.
