    Alejandro Ferrant y Fischermans was a Spanish artist who studied with his uncle, Luis Ferrant y Llausas, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. He traveled to Rome in 1874 to further his studies and was later appointed as the director of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Madrid. Ferrant y Fischermans was known for his work as a decorator, including his ornamental work in the Linares Palace in Madrid and the Miramar Oratory in San Sebastian.

    He also worked on the church of San Francisco el Grande in Madrid with Manuel Domínguez and Francisco Pradilla. Ferrant y Fischermans excelled in drawing and various painting techniques, capturing a sober and elegant coloring. He presented works and obtained several medals in national...
