    Alfred Lenica was a Polish painter, and the father of Jan Lenica and Danuta Konwicka, as well as the father-in-law of Tadeusz Konwicki. He began his studies in 1922 at the Faculty of Law and Economics of the University of Poznan. In parallel, he studied music at the Music Conservatory.

    Lenica deepened his interests in painting by studying at the Private Institute of Fine Arts run by Adam Hannytkiewicz. In the 1930s, Alfred Lenica painted figurative paintings, primarily still lifes and landscapes, inspired by cubism. At the beginning of the war, the Lenic family, displaced from Poznan, went to Kraków.The war was a turning point in the painter's career.
