He began his studies in art at the School of Fine Arts in Lima, where he had Víctor Humareda as a teacher, considered one of the most important expressionist painters in Peru. His style has gone from Impressionism and Expressionism to symbolic realism with ironic themes related to social reflection and denunciation.

Throughout his career, in addition to performing as a painter, he made sculptural work and experimented with engraving and ceramics. He has illustrated books, participated in forums and talks at universities and cultural centers in Peru and abroad.
