    The artist was a Portuguese watercolorist who was a disciple of Ramalho and Alfredo Keil. He participated in several exhibitions, including the 5th Exhibition of the Artistic Guild in 1895 and the 1st Exhibition of the National Society of Fine Arts in 1901. He received several awards, including a medal of honor at the National Society of Fine Arts and a gold medal in Rio de Janeiro. He is represented in various museums, including the Museu do Chiado and the Military Museum. He was awarded the 1st Roque Gameiro Prize in 1946.
