Therefore, it is no coincidence that similar themes occur in the work of Antonín Slavícek (1870-1910), the most progressive of Marák’s students, and also in the paintings of Jan Honsa (1876-1937) and Antonín Hudecek (1872-1941), who repeatedly stayed in Marák’s circle and painted with his pupils, although he was not officially registered in his studio.
