    Alphonse Stengelin (1852 - 1938)
    Stengelin Alphonse was born in 1852 in Lyon and died in 1938 in Satigny. He was painter of landscapes, seascapes, portraits and animals, and engraver.

    He began exhibiting at the National Salon in 1882, received an honorable mention in 1885 and a bronze medal in 1889 (Exposition Universelle). He painted Dutch landscapes, views of the North and the Meuse, flowers and still lifes.
