As usual in Amalia Avia's work, the piece follows an aesthetic of classical and traditional heritage with a frontal view of a building in Calle Alfonso XII in Madrid. In it, the majestic building is not seen in its entirety, showing only a section that would correspond to the artist's own gaze in front of the doorway. The vaporous transparency of the windows does not reveal the presence of any inhabitant, nor are passers-by seen in the street, so that Avia gives the protagonism of the scene to the urban fabric, conceived from a poetic and lyrical solitude.
