French artist Andre Delatte was born in 1887. Andre Delatte started his career as a banker. While Delatte was a banker, he visited his clients, the well known Muller brothers at their art glass studios. It was at their studios he discovered his passion for glass and the effects of chemicals in its production. He left banking and studied chemistry, graduating in 1919. Delatte returned to work for the Muller Brothers, but eventually left and opened his own studios. There he employed up to thirty three talented individuals.
