    Antoine-Félix Boisselier was a French painter who specialised in landscapes and historical subjects. A student of the neoclassical painter Jean-Victor Bertin, he stayed in Rome between 1807 and 1811 where he executed several oil sketches. After his return to France in 1819, he was commissioned to create a series of landscapes for the decoration of the Galerie de Diane at the Château de Fontainebleau. In addition, between 1812 and 1853 he participated in several editions of the Paris Salon, exhibiting landscape paintings. During his last years, Boisselier travelled a lot through France painting landscapes, especially in Auvergne and Provence and in 1842 he received the Legion of Honour.
