Anton Einsle was born in 1801 in Neubau as the son of surgical instruments maker Matthias Einsle. From 1814-1828 Einsle studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and at first was dedicated to the late neoclassical painting in the style of Michael Moritz Daffinger and Friedrich von Amerling. In 1832 he settled in Budapest, returning to Vienna in 1838, when he was honored with the title ‘court painter’.
