    Vives Fierro began his studies at the age of fifteen at the Lonja de Barcelona, and later continued his training at the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc. At the latter he was a pupil of Jose María Garrut and the sculptor Tomás Bel. In 1961 he moved to Paris, and the following year he made his individual debut in Cartagena.

    Two years later he held his first solo exhibition in Barcelona, at the Sala Rovira. From 1970 onwards he lived temporarily in London, where he found themes for many of his paintings, as well as organising several exhibitions (1971, 1973). From the 1980s onwards he focused his work once again on the city of Barcelona, and in the mid-1990s Havana became the theme of his painting. He has exhibi...
