    Antonio Amorgasti was a Spanish sculptor born in 1880 in the city of Bilbao, in the Basque Country region of Spain. He showed an early talent for art and pursued formal training in sculpture at the Fine Arts School of San Fernando in Madrid. Amorgasti's work was heavily influenced by the Art Nouveau movement, which was popular in Europe during his formative years as an artist.

    He was particularly drawn to the organic shapes and flowing lines of Art Nouveau, and sought to incorporate these elements into his own sculptural work. Over time, Amorgasti developed his own unique style, blending elements of Art Nouveau with traditional Spanish and Basque art.
