Adigio Benítez is a prominent painter and poster artist from Cuba. He was trained at the San Alejandro National School of Fine Arts in Havana and began his career in the mid-1940s as a political cartoonist and illustrator. He later became a founding professor of the National School of Plastic Arts and the Higher Institute of Art.
