    Armand Point, a French artist, left his family in Paris at seventeen to return to his native Algiers, where he immersed himself in Orientalism. After establishing a reputation and gaining recognition in Paris, he befriended Elémir Bourges and Sâr Joséphin Péladan, participating in the Salon de la Rose+Croix. His work featured armored heroines, dreamlike fauna, and medieval symbolism, influenced by Quattrocento art. In 1894, he founded the Haute-Clair workshops to revive medieval guild traditions in France.
