    Arnold Lyongrun was born in 1871. He was a decoration artist, and landscape and marine painter.

    He studied in Königsberg and Breslau, and later at the Académie Julian Paris as a pupil of Jules Joseph Lefebvre and Tony Robert-Fleury. He went on study trips within France, Austria and Italy.

    From 1898, he worked in Buxtehude, then in Hamburg. In 1907-08, he worked at the State school of Applied Arts as a teacher. Starting in 1919, he worked as a freelance painter.

    He operated as a member of the Hamburg artistry, and the National Association of visual artists. For several years he belonged to the artist colony Ahrenshoop.

    The artist passed away in 1935....
