    Arthur Fillon was born in 1900 and died in 1974. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille. Arthur went to Paris in 1918, where he studied in Ernest Laurent's studio.

    From 1924, Fillon regularly took part in the Salon d'Automne and Salon des Indépendants. Initially he preferred themes related to the circus world and over the years he increasingly turned to busy urban life in Paris, summer landscapes and still life.

    Arthur's painting style also underwent a significant change towards an impressionistic perspective. His brushwork loosened up more and more and the palette became lighter and brighter....
