    Artur Bual was a Portuguese artist who flourished in the 20th century. He participated in several exhibitions, including the IV, VI and VII Biennials of S. Paulo, exhibited at the S. Francisco Museum of Modern Art and at the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art.

    Bual held numerous solo exhibitions, among others, at Galerias S. Francisco, S. Bento in Lisbon and at Galeria Alvarez in Porto. His work is represented at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, and at the Modern Art Center of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

    Bual was also distinguished with the Amadeo de Sousa Cardoso National Award in 1959 and the MAC'Carreira 97 Award for Contemporary Art Movement, among others. He executed several frescoes in chapels in ...
