    Baldassarre De Caro was an Italian painter from the 17th century, known for his still life paintings influenced by Caravaggio. He was part of the Neapolitan school of painters and specialized in still lifes of flowers and game. De Caro was a pupil of Andrea Belvedere and was supported by the court of Naples. His first biographer was Bernardo de Dominici.
